This is a fun tale of a Legendary Night before Christmas! Enjoy the read!
‘Twas the night before Christmas, with the time drawing near,
Not a creature was training, not even Master Spiers;
Street clothing hung in the change room with care,
In hopes that the instructor soon would be there;
The children were sitting, waiting patient on the mats,
With visions of sparring in their heads while they sat,
Miss Orpen in her dobok and I in mine too,
Had just settled our legs with the day almost through,
When out in the studio there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the office to see what was the matter.
Away to the training floor I flew like a flash,
Tore open the door to see what made the crash,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a man dressed in red, but was not Master Spiers,
He was strong and fast, so lively and quick,
And I wondered aloud, could this be St. Nick?
More rapid than Chuck Norris, he punched and he kicked,
He kiaped and shouted, ‘till the wave master flipped,
Push kicks on the kick shield, back fists that went boom,
His strikes so intense, that they shook the whole room,
He was dressed in all fur, from his head to his toe,
Not ideal for training, but what would I know?
A bundle of toys was laid out on the floor,
And I also heard reindeer hoofs, outside the door,
He turned ‘round to face me, with a look of surprise,
He smiled as he saw me, and a twinkle in his eyes,
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry,
His techniques were tough, but he didn’t look scary,
His red uniform had a black belt tied up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow,
Master Spiers was supposed to be instructing tonight,
But a wink from St. Nick told me everything was alright,
Suddenly students peeked in the room with a stare,
But jolly old Santa was no longer there,
I turned ‘round to see Master Spiers and Miss Orpen,
From the roof came a racket like a stampede of horsemen,
We ran to the window and all heard a whistle,
A sleigh pulled by reindeer took off like a missile,
And I heard voice yell, as they flew out of sight-
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Hope you enjoyed!
